Health Insurance: Currently, eligible employees have the option of enrolling in one of the plans offered by the Center. In most cases the Center shall pay the single individual rate. (Please contact the Human Resources Department for specific rates and details.) The employee may obtain additional dependent coverage at the employee's expense. Enrollment commences on the first of the month following the date of employment. See attacjed summary of benefits (HMO and PPO Plans.)

Vision Insurance: Currently, the Center offers a Vision Plan to employees who are routinely scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per week. The employee may obtain additional dependent coverage at the employees’ expense. Coverage commences the first of the month following the date of employment. See attached summary of benefits.

Dental Insurance: The Center currently provides dental insurance to regular employees who are routinely scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per week. The employee may obtain additional dependent coverage at the employees' expense. Coverage commences the first of the month following the date of employment. See attached summary of benefits (High and Low plans.)

Life Insurance: Currently, the Center pays the cost of group life insurance for each eligible employee. Any new employee hired is insured at two times their annual salary. Coverage commences the date of hire.

Short Term Disability: Currently, the Center pays the full cost of this policy for each eligible employee (to be eligible, an employee must work a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week. New hires are eligible the first of the month following 60 days of active employment). After seven (7) calendar days of disability, the employee is paid an amount equal to or approximately 60% of monthly earnings (the maximum allowed per week is $1,000). If the short-term disability lasts more than fifty-nine (59) days, then commencing on the sixtieth (60th) calendar day of disability, long-term disability will kick in, again at 60% of monthly earnings.

Long Term Disability: Currently, the Center pays the full cost of this policy for each eligible employee. After sixty (60) calendar days of disability, the employee is paid an amount equal to approximately 60% of monthly earnings. There are certain limits on high salaried individuals.

Accidental Death and Disability: Currently, the Center pays the full cost of this coverage. Any new employee hired will receive a benefit of four times their annual salary paid to the employee's beneficiary. Scheduled amounts will be paid for loss of certain body extremities or functions through accident.

Professional Liability/Malpractice Insurance: Coverage is provided from date of hire on all clinical and professional employees, also approved students and volunteers.

Worker's Compensation: Employees are covered from the date of hire.

Health Insurance Reimbursement: When a Jefferson Center regular employee is covered on their spouse's insurance through the spouse's employer, Jefferson Center will refund up to $125 of the out-of-pocket expense for the spousal coverage. Regular part-time employees may also take advantage of this benefit, but the $125 will be pro-rated according to the hours worked per week by the employee.

Wellness: Currently, the Center offers a wellness program to all employees. Additionally, those who qualify for benefits and actively participate in the wellness program are eligible for a 15% discount off insurance premiums. The Wellness program offers classes and events throughout the year to help keep staff informed of health issues and trends, and continue on the path of wellness far into the future.
