Criminal Justice/Mental Health Integrated Case Management Program - PARTNERS

The CJ/MH team works very closely with various organizations who provide community services to offenders in the 1st Judicial District:

Law Enforcement
Allows for intervention at the point of initial police contact including CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) officers.

District Attorney’s Office
The District Attorney’s Adult Diversion program will include the integrated case management program as an alternative sentencing option for appropriate offenders.

Probation
Case Managers and Probation staff work together to ensure people with mental illness who are served by probation are referred to the program for evaluation.

Pre-Trial Services/Diversion
Pre-trial staff are in a position to identify previously unidentified mentally ill offenders and can refer individuals to the program before the offender goes to trial.

Jefferson County Jail
Jail personnel make referrals for individuals who are being released and need mental services to successfully transition to the community.

Public Defender’s Office
Social Workers at the Public Defender’s office work with the program to maximize services and also refer individuals who are not eligible for the Public Defender’s program.
