    Jefferson Center consumers started this AA group to meet the specific needs of persons with co-occurring disorders.
    Meetings: Summit Center (3810 Pierce in Wheat Ridge) every Wednesday from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

  • Bipolar Mental Health Support at West Pines
    Meetings: Tuesday 7pm - 9pm in Group Room A, Administration Building, West Pines. Check in with the receptionist

    Peer support group

  • Depression/Bipolar Recovery Group of Midtown Denver
    Meetings: Meet the fourth Thursday of each month at 7pm in Denver, at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 1750 Colorado Blvd (across from the museum of nature and science – parking on east side of church).  Just show up, no registration necessary.

  • Depression Drop-In Support Center
    Run by a professional psychology center graduate psychology student.

  • Depressive/Manic Depressive Support Group of Metro Denver, Aurora Chapter
    Meetings: Tuesdays at 6pm at Aurora Mental Health Center, 14301 E. Hampden Ave., Aurora; open meeting, can just show up, no affiliation with Aurora MHC needed

  • Empower Colorado Parent Support Group
    EMPOWER COLORADO (Education, Movement: Parents Offering Wisdom, Encouragement and Resources) and the Jefferson Center Office of Consumer and Family Affairs offer a support group for families raising children with emotional or mental health issues.
    Meetings: First and third Thursday of the month at Jefferson Unitarian Church, 14350 West 32nd Avenue, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

  • Family to Family Education Classes
    A multi-week mental illness education class led by family members following a curriculum developed by the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI).
    Meetings: The series is held once or twice a year in Jefferson County.

  • Lakewood Family Support Group
    The Lakewood Family Support Group is for family members of adults with mental illness to offer and receive support and share with others.
    Meetings: Two meeting are held every month, the 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Meetings held at 9808 W. Cedar Ave., Lakewood (Jefferson Center's Cedar Building)

  • North Star Depressive & Bi-Polar Alliance Support Group
    Peer support and education group which is a local chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. Consumers and family members meet concurrently.
    Meetings: Monday at Crossroads Baptist Church in Northglenn at 7:00 p.m.

  • Recovery Inc
    Support groups for people struggling with stress and tension, anxiety or panic, depression or fatigue, sleep problems or worry, anger or fears, feeling helpless or hopeless, other emotional problems.
    Meetings:Call number above for information on local meetings.  To get started, simply go to a meeting (can bring a friend or relative for extra support).  There are no required fees, a voluntary collection is taken at every meeting & annual memberships are available.

  • Schizophrenics Anonymous (SA)
    SA is a six-step, self-help, peer support group for people with schizophrenia. The group is entirely consumer run.
    Meetings: Tuesdays at 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at 9808 West Cedar Ave., Lakewood, CO.

  • Spouse/Significant Other Support Group
    This support group is for spouses or significant others who have a loved one with mental illness to offer and receive support and share with others.
    Meetings: Third Monday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30pm at 9808 W. Cedar Ave., Lakewood (Jefferson Center's Cedar Building).

  • South West Denver Depressive, Manic-Depressive Support Group
    Peer support group
    Meetings: Thursday nights at Fort Logan Mental Health Institute in the main building, 3520 W. Oxford Avenue, room B108 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

  • S.T.A.R. Reach Center, Schizophrenics Anonymous (SA)
    SA is a six-step, consumer led support group for people with schizophrenia. This is an open group.
    Meetings: Every Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Star Reach Center, 2531 West Church Ranch Avenue, Littleton, CO. (Close to light rail and buses.)

  • Visions for Tomorrow Classes
