Planting the Seeds of Hope

Recognizing those who give so much!

On April 21, 2009, the Jefferson Center for Mental Health and Jefferson Mental Health Foundation Board members, volunteers, supporters and community partners joined together for a memorable evening of recognition and camaraderie at the “Planting the Seeds of Hope” celebration. The gathering provided an opportunity for Jefferson Center to extend heartfelt thanks to the tireless volunteers, generous donors and community partners for their part in bringing hope to so many individuals and families at Jefferson Center.

Jefferson Mental Health Foundation Board member Rita Schnidt was honored as Outstanding Volunteer for her dedication and commitment to increasing awareness and support for mental health.

Other volunteers who received Certificates of Appreciation for their service this past year included: Brenda Carroll, Bonnie Carter, Millie DeSmet, Shelley Fitz-Maurice, Donna Grano, Jeanne Fouke, Dorothy Hansen, Marie Hill, Marilyn Kruse, Lauren Munson, Linda Olson, Grace Pollard, Nathaly Rodriguez, Esmeralda Santillano, and Nadine Swahnberg.

Jefferson Center Welcomes Volunteers!

If you are looking for a place to give back to your community and make a difference in others’ lives, consider volunteering in one of Jefferson Center’s many programs! A growing number of volunteer opportunities, both short-term and ongoing, exist for you to contribute your time, talent and experience. Volunteers offer valuable services to the Center such as mentoring youth, providing transportation, helping with special events and much more. You can even create a volunteer position that utilizes your unique interests and skills!
